Chelsea are reportedly still in the race to bring Inter Milan defender Achraf Hakimi to London despite that he’s closing in on the move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Thomas Tuchel’s team have been linked with Hakimi ever since the transfer window opened, but the blues were not able to convince the wing-back.

Hakimi’s impressive performance with Inter Milan last season saw Paris Saint-Germain identifying him as their number one target, and they are about to finalise a deal .

However, Chelsea are not giving up as reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport claim the Champions League winners are eager to make a desperate attempt to hijack Hakimi’s PSG move.

The report claim Chelsea are willing to offer €65m and Marcos Alonso could still be included, but his €10m transfer would count as a separate operation afterwards.

Corriere Dello Sport also back up the news, suggesting that the inclusion of Alonso keeps Chelsea in the race to sign Hakimi.

Perhaps the including of Alonso could make Inter Milan consider as Chelsea players have an history of becoming star players at San Siro and in the Seria A league.

Alonso could turn out to be one too.
