Chelsea are ready to release Brazilian playmaker Lucas Piazon on a permanent deal after the club terminated his loan at Portuguese side Rio Ave.

Lucas Piazon was tipped for greatness when Chelsea paid Sao Paolo £6.75million in 2012 but things have not worked out as planned as he has made just three appearances in his nine years at Stamford Bridge.

Though youths at the club are now given more opportunities to showcase themselves, Lucas Piazon who was labeled the new Kaka will not be given such a chance.

According to Goal, Chelsea is looking to cut their losses on the 26-year-old by letting him go on a permanent deal to any suitors.

Three unnamed clubs are reportedly in discussion with Chelsea over a potential deal for Lucas Piazon who will be eager to revive his career elsewhere.

Piazon has six months to go on his current deal with the Blues and the club is willing to make a profit off his deal.

Lucas Piazon last appearance for Chelsea was eight years ago in December 2012, when he came on for 16 minutes of their 8-0 win against Aston Villa.
