Chelsea are eager to tie down in-form defender Kurt Zouma to a new long term deal as the Frenchman continues to impress top hierarchy at the London club.

As clubs across Europe continue to anticipate the January transfer window, Chelsea are not leaving any stone unturned when it comes to adding more quality to their team.

The Blues have been linked with some top players across Europe and some players are also set to leave but Zouma will be eager to stay on at Chelsea for a very long time.

Zouma has gained the trust of Frank Lampard ever since the season started as he has formed a good relationship with Thiago Silva at the back and the club are eager to offer him another fresh deal.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea want to start the new year with good news and Zouma will serve as the first one.
