Thomas Tuchel might not be able to call on Fikayo Tomori next season as AC Milan are ready to sign him on a permanent deal when his loan deal comes to an end.

Fikayo Tomori was one of the youth players that made a name for themselves under Frank Lampard but he was unable to sustain his place in the team and was shipped out on loan during the January transfer window.

The England international has been impressing ever since he joined AC Milan and the Rossoneri are willing to continue their relationship.

According to a new report from sempremilan.com, Tuchel might not work with the youngster as AC Milan are seriously considering paying the £24.5 million it would require to sign the Englishman on a permanent deal.

The reports claimed that director and Milan legend Paolo Maldini has is keen on signing the player they describe as being the only positive winter signing for Milan.

Though Chelsea will be eager to make a profit out of any deal, it is rumoured that there is an option-to-buy clause in Tomori’s loan agreement from Chelsea that is set at €28m (£24.5m).

Milan are currently placed second on the Seria A table and are willing to compete with other European clubs when they make their return to the Champions League next season.
