The latest reports have revealed that the Blues are set to extend the contract of Andreas Christensen.

According to the report, the new contract would see Christensen earn £120,000 per week.

The Blues centre back defender has remained a key player in the Blues defence line, and they are hoping to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

Christensen’s current contract with the Blues will lapse at the end of this season, and he is hoping for a contract extension as well.

According to the report via The Sun, it claimed that progress has been made in negotiations, and Christensen is on the verge of signing a new deal with a six-figure weekly salary.

The report claimed that the West London side initially set out to decrease Christensen’s current £78k weekly wage, but his improved fortunes under Tuchel convinced the club to offer him a more lucrative deal.

Hopefully, an official announcement will be made about the new deal in the coming days.

In another report, Christensen is likely to start for Chelsea in their next game vs Aston Villa in the Carabao League on Wednesday night.
