EPL leaders Chelsea have set a new record after they defeated Brentford on Saturday in their first match after the international break.

The match started with Brentford looking dangerous, but the Blues could score their lone goal thanks to Ben Chilwell in the first half.

Chelsea went on to win the match in a 1-0 scoreline.

The recent victory over Brentford means the Blues have now become the first club from the English capital to win seven consecutive away London derbies in English Football League history.

Chelsea are currently seated on top of the Premier League table with 19 points from eight fixtures while Brentford remain at the 7th spot.

Manager Thomas Tuchel’s led Chelsea squad are now one point ahead of second position Liverpool and two points ahead of third-place Manchester City.

The Blues will return to action on Wednesday night when they tackle Malmo in a UEFA Champions League tie at Stamford Bridge.
