Chelsea senior players reportedly tell clubs who to sign as a replacement for Lukaku

So far this summer, Chelsea are yet to complete the signing of any of their targets.

Currently, they are in the race to sign a new striker and the reports have claimed Chelsea’s players have urged the club’s hierarchy to sign Everton star, Richarlison.

This comes as the Blues make move for a better replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is keen on a return to the Italian side Inter Milan.

The Blues would have to battle competition from Arsenal and are equally interested in signing the Brazil international.

Richarlison, on the hand, wants to leave Goodison Park this summer and has attracted interest from several clubs in the Premier League.

The Toffees are said to have fixed the transfer fee at £50 million for the player, while both Tottenham and Arsenal have made approaches in recent weeks.

The Sun reports that senior members of Chelsea’s squad want the Everton star at Stamford Bridge as Lukaku’s replacement.

The report claimed that Chelsea’s players view Richarlison’s ‘aggression and tenacity’ as traits of a player they would like to see added to their squad.

Richarlison scored 10 goals in the Premier League last season.
