Journalist Simon Phillips in a statement via GiveMeSport has claimed that Chelsea are keen to listen to offers for Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer to accommodate their on-loan player Levi Colwill in the first team.

Koulibaly, who Chelsea brought in to try and fill the void left by the departure of Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid has been unable to impress.

The Senegalese who joined Chelsea last summer from Napoli seem to have now lost his place in the first team which has been taken by January signing Benoit Badiashile.

Badiashile has been impressive for Chelsea as they have not conceded any goal in the three games he has played.

Phillips in his statement claimed that the club are now open to listen to offers for the player who joined just a few months ago.

He said: “I’m told that Chelsea would be open to listening to offers for him in the summer, purely because they’ve got Levi Colwill coming back in.”

Colwill, who is on loan in Brighton has been impressive and his performances have seen him break into a competitive backline that has been overachieving this season.
