Chelsea reportedly set to rival bitter rivals for the signatures of youngster

Premier League side Chelsea have reportedly joined bitter rivals Arsenal for the signature of Martin Odegaard.

Odegaard joined Arsenal in the summer transfer window from Real Madrid after he failed to nail a first-team place in the team.

Mike Arteta who serves as a coach for the youngster at Arsenal have insisted that Odegarrd might be signed permanently

However, according to news outlet Daily Star (h/t Express), Chelsea are hoping to beat the Gunners to the transfer of Real Madrid playmaker.

Odegaard joined Real Madrid in 2015 but he has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in Spain before a successful loan spell away at Real Sociedad the last term, a move that led to Arsenal signing him.

Chelsea have also been investing in young players for the past few transfer windows and are set to sign more youngster.

Arsenal wouldn’t be able to sign Odegaard on permanently as Real Madrid have revealed that he has a future at the club.

However, the player has revealed he would love to remain at Emirate stadium.

With the transfer window a few months away, we will have to wait till then to know who would finally make the move for the Real Madrid player.
