A report via the Sun UK has revealed Chelsea have ruled out a loan transfer for Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.

With the look of things, it seems the Belgian striker will be staying put at Stamford Bridge where he could get game time under the Blues’ new permanent manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Recall that Chelsea signed Lukaku from Serie A side Inter Milan in the summer of 2021 after he won the Scudetto for them.

However, he failed to impress at Chelsea after splashing £98million to sign him.

The Blues, however, had signed Lukaku out on loan after he granted an explosive interview where expressed his desire to return to Inter Milan.

His explosive interview saw his game time reduced by former coach Thomas Tuchel before his wish was granted.

On his return to Inter, Lukaku again impressed for the Italian club.

However, the Blues don’t want a loan transfer for him and would give him the choice of staying or leaving the club permanently.

There are claims Pochettino is keen on including Lukaku in his plans he might be the manager who could help bring out the best in the Belgian, as he did with Tottenham’s star Harry Kane.
