Following the appointment of former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard as Chelsea’s new coach, a number of the Blues official who worked with the former England international when he was in charge at Stamford Bridge seems to be switch side.

In a recent report, Chelsea’s Ashley Cole has been named as another of the Blues officials that could join Lampard at Everton.

A recent report via The Athletic has now revealed that Chelsea will not stand in Ashley Cole’s way if he wants to leave his role in the Blues academy to join Lampard at Everton.

Simon Johnson of The Athletic also took to his Twitter handle to write, “Ashley Cole leaving #CFC academy role to join #EFC. Am told Chelsea won’t stand in his way. He’s been more part-time since becoming assistant manager with England Under-21s. If Cole sees he can further his career at Everton, that’s fine as far as Chelsea are concerned.”

We will have to wait to see if Cole will also be moving to Everton to assist Lampard, who signed as a replacement for Rafael Benitez.
