Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has been handed an ultimatum by the club’s board.

Pochettino is expected to give an account of his time at Chelsea at the end of the season, and there are already speculations that this would determine if he would remain at Stamford Bridge as the Blues coach or not.

This season has not been all that impressive for the Blues who grappled with challenges, especially in the Premier League, where they’ve struggled to be consistent on the pitch.

Aside from the EPL, Pochettino in his first season led the Blues to the finals in the Carabao Cup and the semi-finals in the FA Cup.

As of now the Blues have moved to the 7th spot on the league table after Man Utd suffered defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday night.

Going by the current situation at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s board have reportedly presented Pochettino with an ultimatum to clinch qualification for the Europa League or it could be the end of his tenure at the club.

So far, Chelsea have been linked with moves for their former manager Jose Mourinho, Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim and Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi as replacements for Pochettino if the Argentine is unable to meet the ultimatum.
