A recent report has claimed that Chelsea are eyeing transfer moves for Bayern Munich central defender Niklas Sule.

Sule, who is in talks with Bayern over a possible contract extension, could be out of the club this season if agreements are not reached.

The Blues are said to be monitoring the situation at the German club to know if they should make a move for Sule, who would be a free agent in the summer if a new agreement is not reached with Bayern Munich.

It is publicly known that the West London side are in the transfer market for a central defender after the club attempted to sign Jules Kounde during the summer, but an agreement was never reached for him.

A report via Sport Witness revealed that the recent contract problems for Sule have prompted interest from the English Premier League, including from European champions Chelsea.

The Blues manager, Thomas Tuchel, is said to be a fan of Sule and is, in fact, the one who is pushing for the club to keep an eye on the defender’s situation at Bayern as there are chances of signing him for free in the summer.
