Chelsea ready to part ways with Belgian striker

The recent reports claim Chelsea manager Graham Potter doesn’t want the club’s striker Romelu Lukaku at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are willing to let him leave and are hoping that Lukaku impresses for Belgium in the World Cup campaign to boost his value.

The Blues signed Lukaku from Inter Milan in the 2021 summer transfer window seven years after he left Stamford Bridge.

However, Lukaku failed to impress on his second return to Chelsea and made a return on loan to San Siro in the last summer transfer window under former manager Thomas Tuchel.

The Belgian striker scored just 15 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions.

In a recent report, the Evening Standard revealed that Lukaku is no longer wanted at Stamford Bridge by the new manager.

Inter Milan paid a loan fee of £6.7 million in the summer and verbally agreed that they could take Lukaku on loan again on the same terms next season.

But Chelsea are ready to cash out on him and are looking for clubs to sign him permanently as they want to recoup as much money as possible from the sale.
