Chelsea striker and Belgium international Romelu Lukaku is close to seeing his dream of returning to Seria A side Inter Milan become a reality.

This comes as the latest report revealed that Chelsea’s new owners headed by Todd Boehly are ready to accept an offer for the Belgian striker to leave the club this summer on loan.

The report was also confirmed by popular Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

Romano in his statement revealed the final loan fee will be €8m plus add-ons.

He tweeted: “Inter and Chelsea are now preparing paperwork to sign and complete the negotiation for Romelu Lukaku.

“Todd Boehly, prepared to accept final loan fee worth €8m plus add-ons.

“Thomas Tuchel wanted Lukaku to leave the club as the Belgian striker was only pushing for Inter.”

Lukaku is close to making a return to San Siro, only one year after he left the club for Stamford Bridge in a €100m transfer.

His poor form at the club saw him lose regular game time last season.

Chelsea will have to make move for a replacement this summer.
