A recent report via Goal revealed that Lawyers to Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich have urged interested parties to make their offers to buy the club by Friday.

It is believed that Los Angeles Dodgers part-owner Todd Boehly and Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss are working out plans to buy Chelsea, with the two having worked together in business before.

The reports revealed that the sale of Chelsea is being overseen by a New York-based merchant bank, Raine Group, on behalf of Abramovich.

Abramovich is determined to sell his assets in the UK before any sanctions are imposed following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

This comes amidst reports that British lawmakers are working to sanction high net-worth individuals from Russia who affiliations with President Vladimir Putin.

The leader of the Labour Party, Sir Keir Starmer MP, recently questioned why the UK hasn’t already sanctioned Abramovich.

Abramovich on Wednesday confirmed plans to sell Chelsea, a club he has owned since 2003, and have won every title there is to be won with.
