Chelsea are ready to push past the £45 million mark in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, according to talkSPORT.

Following encouraging discussions with Dortmund during their pre-season camp in the United States, the Blues are preparing a fresh bid after their initial £42 million offer was rejected.

Bynoe-Gittens, 20, has emerged as Chelsea’s top target for the left-wing position. Despite the urgency, the club is not rushing the deal, as the English talent is currently ineligible to feature in the Club World Cup, having already appeared in the tournament for Dortmund.

Nevertheless, Chelsea remain keen, with the player reportedly agreeing to personal terms on a seven-year contract.

In parallel, Chelsea are actively exploring attacking reinforcements, particularly with concerns surrounding the fitness of Christopher Nkunku.

Although the highly rated Brazilian prospect Estevão Willian is set to join from Palmeiras, the 18-year-old prefers to operate as a central playmaker and is expected to be integrated gradually into the first team.

Other forwards being monitored include Brighton’s João Pedro and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike. However, Chelsea have ruled out matching Ekitike’s £85 million (€100m) price tag. Targets such as Randal Kolo Muani (Paris Saint-Germain) and Dušan Vlahović (Juventus) are reportedly not under consideration.

Amid these potential signings, the club could also see significant departures. Up to nine players are expected to leave as part of a major summer overhaul. This reshaping of the squad reflects Chelsea’s continued efforts to balance long-term development with immediate competitiveness as they prepare for another demanding campaign across multiple competitions.
