As Chelsea continue to search for a new owner, the club chiefs, Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech, reportedly had a private meeting with prospective Chelsea investor Nick Candy.

According to reports, the meeting was held at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich has put the club up for sale, instructing US merchant bank Raine to find a buyer, and interested parties have until Friday to put forward their proposals.

Nick Candy has emerged as a fans’ favourite to take over ownership and he was at Stamford Bridge on Sunday to watch Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Newcastle.

According to Goal.com’s Nizaar Kinsella, Candy also had a private meeting with Chelsea director Granovskaia and technical and performance advisor Cech.

Though details of the meeting were not revealed, it’s rumoured that all parties meet to discuss the way forward for the club.

This also includes the future of Granovskaia and Cech, if they would be prepared to remain at Stamford Bridge under his ownership.
