Chelsea owner advised to learn from his mistake

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has sent a message to Chelsea owner Todd Boehly regarding the club management.

Jordan in his statement said he believed Boehly must have learnt from his mistakes after seeing Chelsea struggle in his first year in charge of the west London side.

Recall that Boehly took over as Chelsea’s new owner on May 30, 2022, and went on to splash £600 million in two transfer windows, which didn’t yield positive returns as the Blues ended up in the 12th spot on the log at the end of the season.

Jordan stressed that there was nothing wrong with the American billionaire learning from his mistakes while insisting he must ensure the same mistakes are not repeated.

He told talkSPORT: “Todd Boehly will have had a baptism of fire. He will have seen the landscape and read about the way English football is held together and not believed it. Sat in Premier League meetings, seen the way the media has reacted to his decisions, and seen the consequences of his actions.

“There’s nothing wrong with learning from your mistakes; it’s about not making those same mistakes again.”
