Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri is eager to move to Seria A during the January transfer window so as to get more playing time under his belt.

Last season saw Emerson fighting for a place in the Chelsea team alongside Marcos Alonso but the arrivals of Ben Chilwell in the summer has seen both players lose their starting spot.

Though Emerson has been preferred as the second choice ahead of Alonso, the Italian has been linked with a move back to his country as Napoli have been named as his preferred destination.

According to Football Italia, the Italy international who has only completed 88 minutes in the Premier League this season is willing to move for greener pastures during the January transfer window.

Emerson is reported to be willing to unite with Bakayoko who is also eager to rejuvenate his career at Napoli after a torrid spell in the Premier League.

However, Emerson move to Napoli will depend on the side ability to get rid of Algerian defender Faouzi Ghoulam who is also surplus to requirement.

Though Emerson was willing to fight for a place in the Chelsea team but his ambitions to secure a place in the Italy squad for EURO 2021 will play a role in his decision.
