Chelsea midfielder and Scotland international Billy Gilmour, who is currently on loan at Norwich, has revealed his intention to remain at the club.

This comes after the reports had revealed that Chelsea could recall Gilmour in the January transfer window owing to the fact he was not getting enough playing chances at the club.

The Blues defender started each of the first three matches of the Premier League season at Norwich but was soon dropped out of the team under former boss Daniel Farke.

Gilmour didn’t play a single minute between the end of September and the start of November.

However, with Farke out of Norwich and replaced by Dean Smith, Gilmour has returned to the line-up as he suggested that he is eyeing more improvement for Norwich.

He said: “Of course it’s frustrating, not playing, but I’m here at Norwich, I want to do well; I want this loan to go well.

“So for me to play and to pick up points for the team is something that I want to keep building on and help Norwich.”

Gilmour’s statement could see Chelsea letting him remain at Stamford Bridge.
