Chelsea, Man City face possible expulsion from EPL
The recent reports have revealed that Chelsea and Manchester City could be hit with an expulsion from the Premier League if they are found guilty of breaching Financial Fair Play, FFP.
This comes as Nottingham Forest became the latest club to be punished after an independent body deducted four points over their own breaches of its Profit and Sustainability rules.
Forest were accused of exceeding their PSR threshold by up to £34.5million in the pertinent period.
This has seen Nuno Espirito Santo’s side drop into 18th spot in the relegation zone on 21 points.
While Manchester City are awaiting the outcome of 115 charges, with a trial date set by bosses but yet to be officially confirmed, the Blues on the other hand are yet to be charged, however, there are claims that the club could soon be punished, after spending more than £1 billion since being taken over by Todd Boehly in May 2022.
