As Chelsea continue their race for a permanent manager ahead of next season, the latest report has linked them with moves for Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim.

It is believed that the Blues held talks with Amorim to become their permanent head coach to replace Frank Lampard at the end of the season.

This is according to the Guardian, which has also reported that Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique are the two other names linked with the job.

However, there are speculations that Amorim is the clear frontrunner as of now.

With his release clause at 10million Euros, a move for Amorim is not an overly ridiculous price to pay for as he Is regarded as one of the smartest young coaches around.

Considering the long-term contract Chelsea have been handing to their new players, it appears the Blues are set to build for the future, which a young manager like Amorim would be able to handle.
