Chelsea linked with moves for new goalkeeper, could be another Brighton
Chelsea have been linked with moves to sign a new goalkeeper to their squad led by Graham Potter.
While there were some earlier claims linking the Blues to Jordan Pickford, however, it all seems to have died off as Everton can’t afford to lose him just yet.
Another goalkeeper is Robert Sanchez, who plays for Graham Potter’s former team, Brighton.
Transfer expert Simon Philips insisted that Sanchez is top of the wanted players at Chelsea and they could make a move for him in January.
“At the moment I’m told that Sanchez from Brighton is the main target to replace him,” Philips said in quotes picked up by CaughtOffside.
“They have looked at Jordan Pickford and they have been watching him again recently on scouting missions, but at the moment, Sanchez, purely because Potter knows him, Potter had him at Brighton, he’s the main target to replace Mendy.“
Should Chelsea secure a deal for Sanchez, he would become the third person to leave Brighton for Stamford Bridge under new owner Todd Boehly, others are Potter and Marc Cucurella.
