Chelsea linked with moves for France goalkeeper

Chelsea are set to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer window as recent report has linked them with moves for France goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
A recent report via BBC Sports disclosed the Blues have informed Italian side, AC Milan, of their interest to sign Maignan.
The 29-year-old, who is a regular for Milan, moved to the Italian Serie A league on a five-year contract from French side Lille in 2021.
He has also emerged as France first choice goalkeeper after Hugo Lloris retired from international football in January 2023.
Chelsea have been informed that a deal for Maignan is possible as he said to be interested in a switch to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are in need of a new goalkeeper having found it challenging to find a long-term option at the back since buying Kepa Arrizabalaga in 2018 for £71m.
Two years signing Kepa, the west London signed Edouard Mendy, who left for Al-Ahli in 2023.
Kepa has spent the past two seasons on loan with Real Madrid and then Bournemouth.
Chelsea have also signed Robert Sanchez, Djordje Petrovic and Filip Jorgensen but are not satisfied with their performances.
While Petrovic was sent out on loan to Strasbourg, Sanchez and Jorgensen were retained in the Chelsea squad.
