Chelsea have joined the European clubs in the race to sign PSG star and France international Kylian Mbappe this summer.

This comes as Mbappe reportedly told Paris Saint-Germain that he will not be renewing his contract, which expires on June 30, 2024.

As expected the report has caused a buzz in the world of football and sparked numerous transfer rumours about his future away from the club.

While Spanish side Real Madrid are tipped as the favourite to sign Mbappe, the reports claim EPL sides like Manchester United and Chelsea have also shown interest in the Frenchman.

With the impending takeover of Man Utd by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Red Devils are expected to have the resources to regain their status as a top European club and could be able to land Mbappe.

Chelsea on the other hand would need to sell players like Romelu Lukaku, Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz, or Mason Mount before they can move for the French star who could reunite with Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge.

However, with no European football next season, Mbappe may not consider joining Chelsea
