Chelsea join race for Dortmund star

Ahead of the summer transfer window, football clubs across Europe are already prepping up and drawing a list of players they can sign to their respective clubs.

In the case of Chelsea, the latest report has revealed that the Blues have joined in the race to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

Recall that Man Utd were the favourites to sign him last summer but were unable to do so owing to his high transfer price as of then.

However, with the latest decision taken by Dortmund to slash Sancho’s transfer price, Chelsea have joined the list of clubs that could submit a bid for him this summer.

The report also revealed that Man United will be making another move for the England international, while Liverpool have also been linked, and BILD reports that Chelsea have now also joined the race.

The report claimed that Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel is making moves with his former club to see the deal become a reality.

It wouldn’t come as a surprise if Chelsea board give Tuchel the needed financial support in the transfer market this summer, because he has led them to the Champions League semi-finals, FA Cup final and they remain seated in the top-four on the Premier League table.
