Chelsea are close to securing a new deal for a new manager to replace Mauricio Pochettino who was sacked a few days ago.

The recent report via Sky Sports revealed that Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca could soon become the next head coach at Stamford Bridge.

Maresca is said to have reached an agreement on a five-year deal with Chelsea to become their new manager.

This is an indication that the West London club would be giving Maresca the time to rebuild the team especially as they will be playing in the Conference League next season.

The 44-year-old, who will replace Pochettino at Stamford Bridge, will exit Leicester after returning them to the English top flight by winning the Championship.

The Foxes have also given Chelsea approval to discuss with Maresca, whose release clause at the King Power Stadium is said to be between £8m and £10m.

There speculations that the deal will be finalised this weekend and Chelsea will unveil their new manager.

Once this is finalised, the Blues will have the time to focus on the summer transfer window with plans on bringing new players and parting ways with the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
