Chelsea are said to be in contact with Gregol Kobel’s agent in order to sign him from German club Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.

Kobel has been impressive for Dortmund at the goalpost since joining them from Stuttgart for €15 million in 2021.

Chelsea have been linked with moves for a new goalkeeper come summer, especially as Edouard Mendy’s future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain.

Mendy turned down Chelsea’s offer of a new contract earlier this season, and the Blues are willing to offload him in the summer.

A report via Sport1 revealed that Chelsea are keen on a move for Kobel this summer transfer window, but they face competition from Manchester United who are also interested in the 25-year-old goalkeeper.

The report added that Chelsea held talks with Kobel’s agent in London before their win over Dortmund in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge last week in a bid to bring the Switzerland international to the EPL.
