Chelsea in direct contact with these two players
With less than three weeks left to the close of the summer transfer window, it appears Chelsea may welcome two more players.
This comes as the report revealed the Blues are now “in direct contact” to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona and Wesley Fofana from Leicester City.
This was made public by popular football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Sunday.
Romano in a tweet via his official Twitter handle wrote: “Chelsea are in direct contact for Pierre Aubameyang and Wesley Fofana as priority deals, but still working on top talents for the future.
“New round of talks scheduled with Inter for Cesare Casadei next week.
“Race still open but Chelsea want to try again with new bid.”
Aubameyang and Fofana are considered coach Thomas Tuchel’s top targets this summer, as he seeks to boost both his defence and attack, having seen some of his key players in the two roles leave this summer.
Chelsea have already seen two of their offers turned down for Fofana, but the report revealed they will return with an improved third bid this week which they hope the Foxes would accept.
