Chelsea in advanced talks for Simons and Hato

Chelsea remain active in the summer transfer window as they work on signing new players to their squad ahead of next season.

As of now, the Blues have two key players on their radar and they are Jorrel Hato and Xavi Simons.

A recent report via Sky Sports disclosed that the Blues are now in advanced talks with Ajax over a deal for Hato and have also held discussions over the signing Simons from RB Leipzig.

The report disclosed that the West London club are ready to pay £44m (€50m) for Hato, but Ajax are insisting on a transfer fee around £52m (€60m) for the centre-back.

Hato, whose contract with the Dutch side doesn’t expire until 2028, has informed them of his desire to leave the club.

The 19-year-old defender, who is versatile has been monitored closely by Chelsea, whose interest is long-standing.

Chelsea believe Hato who has developed into one of the best young defenders in the world, will be a boost in their defence line.

Meanwhile, midfielder Simons is set to leave RB Leipzig this summer as he has two years left on his contract.

Simons might wait until later in the transfer window before moving to Stamford Bridge.
