Chelsea identifies three goalkeepers to replace Kepa and Mendy

Chelsea have reportedly drawn up a list of three goalkeepers they could sign to replace Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea led by American billionaire Todd Boehly are looking for a replacement for both goalkeepers who have failed to impress.

Chelsea splashed almost £71 million on Arrizabalaga and almost £30 million on Mendy, but the duo are showing no signs of being Chelsea’s long-term No. 1.

Kepa arrived at Stamford Bridge from Spanish club Athletic Bilbao in 2018, but he was dropped after a string of errors and was replaced by Mendy, who was signed on the advice of legendary Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Arrizabalaga has not done so badly this season but Chelsea are unconvinced about Kepa and Mendy’s performance and are planning to bring in a new goalkeeper this summer.

A report via the Evening Standard revealed the likes of Andre Onana from Inter Milan, Gregor Kobel from Borussia Dortmund and Brentford’s David Raya as top on Chelsea’s plan as they search for a new No. 1.
