Chelsea have their eyes on this Athletic star

Transfer expert Romano Fabrizio has linked Chelsea with moves for Athletic star Nico Williams.

The Blues are said to have been eying the 21-year-old for several months, even before they signed Cole Palmer from Manchester City lLa Ligammer.

Ahead of the next summer window, Chelsea are tipped to maintain an interest.

Williams has the skills to play on both flanks but has impressed on the left-hand side for the LaLiga side this season.

So far, the Spaniard has scored six goals and added 11 assists.

He also has a release clause of £43 million, which the Blues will have to meet.

Chelsea will also need to slim down their squad to be able to sign Williams as they have the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling in their team.

Athletic Club are hoping to keep Williams but are said to be making plans for next season without him, which include a move for Braga’s Álvaro Djaló.
