Chelsea have reached an agreement with Everton target

Everton star Anthony Gordon has reached a personal agreement with Chelsea ahead of a potential move, according to journalist Simon Phillips.

The Athlete reported that Gordon has told Everton manager Frank Lampard to let him leave this summer as he desires to play in the Uefa Champions League, which Chelsea can offer.

Also, the Blues manager Thomas Tuchel has identified the versatile 21-year-old as a ‘top target’ and would likely deploy him as a right wing-back if the agreement is reached and he moves to Stamford Bridge.

Phillip said he doesn’t think Gordon will try to force a move away from Everton like Wesley Fofana, who refused to turn up training in order to force his transfer from Leicester City to Chelsea.

The Journalist told GiveMeSport: Gordon himself has agreed on personal terms with Chelsea, and he wants to move obviously; that’s quite common knowledge now.

“He’s not going to do anything to push it. I don’t think he’s going to go Wesley Fofana levels on it.”
