Chelsea hand Man Utd transfer boost, as they drop out in the race for Inter goalie

Manchester United have been handed a transfer boost this summer to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper, Andre Onana as their EPL rivals Chelsea are no longer chasing the Cameroon star.

Recall that Onana had been a target for both Man United and Chelsea this summer as both clubs are keen on adding a new goalkeeper to their squad ahead of the commencement of next season.

A report via Evening Standard revealed the West London club had already held talks with Inter Milan over a move for the 27-year-old goalie back in April but have now pulled out of any race to sign him.

While there is to be any specific reason behind the Blues’ action, it has, however, left Manchester United in an excellent position to sign the former Ajax star if they are ready to splash £50million on his services.

Onana could reunite with Man United manager, Erik ten Hag who he played under during their time together at Ajax.
