The Blues have been linked with a move for Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele who they hope to sign this summer.

According to the report, Chelsea have been handed a major boost in their bid to sign the French striker in the soon to commence summer transfer window.

This comes as Chelsea owners led by Todd Boehly, who recently completed a £4.25billion takeover of the west London club on Monday, are expected to ‘push for A-list signings’ to mark a new start at Stamford Bridge, according to the MailOnline.

The new owners are eager to bolster the Blues’ squad and The Telegraph indicate that, after player sales are taken into account, Tuchel is set to have £200million at his disposal to strengthen his side.

There are beliefs that part of this money would be used to complete Dembele’s transfer to Chelsea.

However, the Blues would face competition from Liverpool, who are interested in the Frenchman and considers him a replacement for Senegalese Sadio Mane, who has revealed his intention to leave Anfield this summer.

Dembele will see his contract at Camp Nou expire in a matter of weeks and he has refused to pen a new deal with them, which means he would be a free agent during the summer window.
