A recent report has revealed that Spanish side, Real Madrid are working towards adding a new defender to their squad in the person of Sergio Ramos.

The reports added that Real Madrid have identified Bayern Munich star player David Alaba as their top target to replace Sergio Ramos at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

This comes as a result of the fact that Ramos has still not signed a new contract with the Spanish champions, and a recent report claimed that Los Blancos had ‘given up’ on keeping the Spaniard at the Bernabeu.

On the other hand, Alaba’s deal with Bayern    Munich will expire at the end of June as he has refused to extend his deal with the German clubs.

With this Alaba has been linked with several clubs in Europe and hopefully one of them will make the move in the Summer.

According to AS reports, Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane is preparing for Ramos’ departure this summer and have listed a number of players to replace the veteran defender.

Madrid’s interest in Alaba is a big blow for Chelsea who are also interested in signing him as a replacement for Thiago Silva who contract will expire at the end of the season.
