Valencia could be the next destination of Chelsea’s forgotten man Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer.

This comes as the report via Calciomercato claimed Valencia manager, Gennaro Gattuso, is ‘pushing’ to sign Bakayoko.

This is not the first Gattuso would work with Bakayoko as he had signed him on loan during his time at AC Milan.

Bakayoko joined Chelsea from AS Monaco back in 2017 for £36 million, having put up an impressive form for the French Ligue 1 side.

However, the 27-year-old failed to adapt to Chelsea’s style of football and was loaned out to a number of clubs like AC Milan, Monaco, and Napoli in the past.

He was able to make 43 appearances for Chelsea and has been considered a surplus to the team’s requirements.

A potential deal to Valencia is complicated because he is still on loan at AC Milan, with the Serie A club, having agreed to a two-year deal back in 2021.

To sign him, Valencia will have to pay a fee to lure Bakayoko to their side because of the many loans he has been involved in.

Aside from Valencia, Ligue 1 side Marseille are also reportedly monitoring the midfielder.
