Chelsea returned to action on Thursday night when they hosted their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

The game ended in a 2-0 win for the Blues who won all three points against the Hotspurs, who had previously suffered defeat against Arsenal.

Trevoh Chalobah scored a goal for the Blues, his first since March 2022, as he put Chelsea ahead in the first half at Stamford Bridge.

Nicolas Jackson sealed the victory for Chelsea towards the end of the match with a second goal.

Jackson now has 14 goals to his name for Chelsea amid their struggles this season.

The recent defeat to the Blues has crashed the Hotspurs top four bid as they are now seven points away from Aston Villa, who are at the 4th spot on the league table.

Tottenham who have four more game to play in the league will now have to focus their attention on how to qualify for the Europa champions league next season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s win against Tottenham has seen them move to the 8th spot on the log, having spent weeks staying stagnant at the 9th spot.

The Blues would hope to maintain the victories in their other games before the season comes to an end.
