Chelsea defender, Reece James, has given his prediction on what next season would like for the club.

According to James, the Blues would challenge for trophies next season under their new manager, Mauricio Pochettino.

James made this known on his Instagram story on Friday as he penned an apology to Chelsea fans for the team’s poor outing this season.

This season was miserable for Chelsea as they will finish in the bottom half of the Premier League table irrespective of the outcome of their final match against Newcastle United on Sunday.

“I’m sure you have seen the news [about an injury that will rule him out for the clash against Newcastle at Stamford Bridge],” James said.

“I won’t be back for the last game of the season. It’s been tough for me. I’m sorry this season hasn’t gone as we all wanted.

“Next season, I’ll be back stronger than ever, and we’ll be back fighting for trophies! Stay well and see you soon. Love you all.”
