Chelsea defender hails is Tuchel, says Lampard life difficult for him

Chelsea centre back defender and Denmark International Andreas Christensen has hailed the Blues coach, Thomas Tuchel, for believing in him.

According to Christensen, former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard made life difficult for him.

Recall that Christensen didn’t get enough playing chances under Lampard, but things took a new twist after the England international was sacked and replaced with Tuchel.

Under Tuchel, the Denmark defender got more playing chances and was part of the team that lifted the UCL last season.

He has tipped that he is closed to signing a new contract with the Blues in the coming days.

“I know Thomas Tuchel believes in me. I have also played a big role since he came.

“I had a very difficult period under Lampard, shortly before he was fired,” Christensen told Danish publication Ekstra Bladet.

He added that things are now going the right way for him and he believes things can go fast in this world.

“The most important thing is just that I have never given up,” he said.

Christensen is expected to return to action this weekend when the Blues take on Aston Villa in the EPL.
