Chelsea decide on Maresca future

Chelsea’s hierarchy have decided on manager Enzo Maresca’s time at Stamford Bridge following defeats to German side Bayern Munich and Brighton in their last two outings.
Maresca’s job remains safe at the club despite the pressure from some of Chelsea’s fans, demanding his sack.
Chelsea’ hierarchy, however, are not panicking with only six weeks into the season.
Following back to back defeats to Manchester United then Brighton in the league, Maresca came under criticism from fans, who accused the manager of reacting negatively to red cards.
Top officials at Stamford Bridge have noted the Blues lost only five times in the last six months and had a player sent off in four of those matches.
The Blues also injury crisis, with their star player Cole Palmer and Liam Delap among a long list of those on the sideline.
Chelsea who won the FIFA club world cup last season against PSG are contenders in the UEFA Champion League, among other cup competitions this campaign.
Tonight, they will hope to return to winning ways when they play against their former coach Jose Mourinho’s led Benfica side at Stamford Bridge in the UCL.
