Ahead of this weekend game in the Premier League, it appears Chelsea may have suffered an injury blow as they prepare for their game against Aston Villa.

The reports have revealed the injured players to be the Blues striker, Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.

Lukaku, 28, who has scored one goal in two appearances for Chelsea since his return to Stamford Bridge in a £97.5 million deal from Inter Milan last month is expected to undergo a scan on a thigh injury this week.

Recall that he was active during the ongoing international break, scoring twice in Belgium’s 5-2 win over Estonia last Thursday and a goal in the Belgian 3-0 victory against Czech Republic on Sunday.

He is expected to fly back to London ages of the weekend clash against Aston Villa as he is not allowed to play for Belgium in their World Cup qualifier match against Belarus on Wednesday.

Apart from Lukaku, another player of concern is Kante, who is battling with an ankle injury.

Recall that the French midfielder was forced off the pitch during the Blues 1-1 draw vs Liverpool on August 28. He was also unable to play for France in the World Cup qualifiers.
