Chelsea are currently on the search for a replacement for Mason Mount, who is close to completing a transfer to Manchester United this summer transfer window.

The Blues are said to be considering making a move for Gabri Veiga from Celta Figo as Mount’s replacement.

Mount, who is one of Chelsea’s academy product is on his way to Man United this summer as the Blues are keen on slimming down their squad ahead of next season.

Mount could soon join the likes of N’Golo Kante, Kai Havertz, Edouard Mendy, Hakim Ziyech, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek, among others, who have already departed.

Chelsea are already bracing up for a life without Mount as the Evening Standard reported that Veiga is their target for the attacking midfield position.

They would, however, have to meet his  £34.6 million release clause in his contract with Celta.

Chelsea could also face competition from Man City and Liverpool, who have also been linked with moves for the Spain Under-21 star who scored 11 goals and created four assists in 40 matches last season, including a brace in a 2-1 victory over LaLiga giants Barcelona on the final day of the season.
