Chelsea consider 19-year-old striker as replacement for Broja

Since Armando Broja suffered an ACL injury during a mid-season friendly with Aston Villa, Chelsea have been linked with moves for possible replacements.

And a new report has revealed one potential target, who probably has been a longer-term target for Graham Potter.

And the player is 19-year-old striker David Datro Fofana, who currently plays for Molde FL at the top of the Norwegian Elitesierien.

According to several reports, including from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Telegraph, the Evening Standard, as well as Norway’s TV2, Fofana will be signed for a Norwegian record €10m fee, with Chelsea beating Brighton in the process.

There are, however, no indication whether Fofana would be part of Chelsea’s first team when he arrives or if he would be able to play in the UK, with some reports claiming that he’s “a prospect for the future”.

So far this season, Fofana has scored 15 goals with 5 assists in 24 league appearances for Molde. He also has 4 goals in 10 Europa Conference League matches.
