The latest reports have disclosed that the Blues captain, Cesar Azpilicueta, has given a condition for him to remain at Stamford Bridge.

According to a report via Sport snail, Azpilicueta will remain at Stamford Bridge will hand him a two-year deal to extend his stay at the club.

It is no longer news that the Blues captain is in his last months at Chelsea.

The report has already linked him with moves to Barcelona, who are hoping to sign him.

Azpilicueta joined Chelsea from Marseille in 2012, and he is keen on remaining at the club.

However, Chelsea are known not to give players above 31-years a one year deal, but Azpilicute wants two years which he might not get.

While Chelsea have made an exception in the cases of players like Thiago Silva, the Blues would only do so if they recognise the importance of such a player in their squad.

There are claims that the Spaniard has agreed to join Barcelona, but the defender wants to speak to Chelsea again before finalising his plans.

Barcelona are willing to give Azpilicueta a two-year contract with the option of a third-year if he joins this summer.
