Chelsea and Arsenal have suffered transfer blow this summer transfer window as one of their targets has named his preferred destination.

A recent report via talkSPORT disclosed that Brentford striker, Ivan Toney prefers to sign for Tottenham Hotspur over Arsenal and Chelsea.

It is no news that Toney has been linked with a transfer from Brentford to other Premier League clubs this summer.

The England star had also been previously linked to Manchester United.

Recall that he played a role in England’s Euro 2024 run to the final, where they lost 2-1 to Spain in Germany.

Amid interests from clubs, Brentford, are, however, refusing to let Toney leave the club at a cheap price.

There are speculations that Brentford valuation for the striker has come down from more than £70m to £55m.

While Chelsea and Arsenal appear to be unwilling to splash such amount on the striker, it is unknown if his preferred club Tottenham will be also willing to do so.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are keen on signing a new striker for their manager Enzo Maresca before the transfer window closes.

The Blues wants to create competition for Nicolas Jackson who struggled to find the net last summer as they finished at the 6th spot on the log.
