Mason Mount is close to becoming the latest player to leave Stamford Bridge as a report via ESPN revealed the Blues and Manchester United have finally reached an agreement on his transfer.

The report revealed Man United will pay an initial fee of £55 million ($69.4m) with another £5m ($6.3m) in add-ons.

ESPN reported that the bonuses due to Chelsea are “strongly dependent” on appearances and Mount’s success at Old Trafford.

The report also revealed Mount, who is currently on holiday would babe his medical with the Red Devils next week.

Chelsea and Man Utd finally reached a compromise after the Blues initially demanded £70m for the England international.

This saw Man United submitting bids of £40m, £50m and £55m, which were all rejected by Chelsea.

Mount, 24, is close to entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and negotiations over an extension had fallen.

If the Blues fail to sell him this summer, he would leave Chelsea as a free agent next summer.
