Chelsea will return to midweek action in the Carabao Cup.

Ahead of their second round tie vs AFC Wimbledon, the Blues manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has confirmed three of his key players will be unavailable to play in the match on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge.

The three players are Benoit Badiashile and Armando Broja and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Badiashile and Broja are at the end stages of their rehabilitation programme, while Mudryk will continue to undergo his rehabilitation programme.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Pochettino said: “They [Badiashile, Broja and Mudryk] won’t play tomorrow [against Wimbledon]. We need to wait until after the international break and we will see.

“Maybe Misha is closer than Broja and Badiashile, but we need to assess him day by day.”

Chelsea are favourite to emerge winner in their Carabao Cup match vs AFC Wimbledon.
