Carabao Cup: Klopp speaks ahead of final vs Chelsea

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp in a recent statement claimed the Reds will not be the favourites when they meet Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final this weekend.

The face-off between the two sides will be a rematch of the 2022 final, which Liverpool won through penalties after it ended 0-0 after 120 minutes.

With Liverpool currently at the top of the Premier League table, they are rated as favourites to beat the Blues once again.

The West London side, on the other hand, have only won 10 matches and are currently at the 10th place in the table.

Irrespective of the Blues’ form, Klopp believes they could pose a threat to his injury-ridden squad.

Klopp told BBC Sport: “Will we be big favourites? Definitely not.

“Since we played them (Chelsea) they have improved a lot and it will be tricky, this was exceptional tonight.”

Chelsea will be hoping to win their first trophy under Mauricio Pochettino.
